Several years ago, we were commissioned to photograph some corporate shots in Barcelona for a large hotel chain. The company bosses were all in town for a large travel expo, and they’d hired an interesting venue for their evening soirée- Antoni Gaudi’s house, Casa Batlló.
We had never seen anything like this house before. Gaudi’s university professor had once been quoted as saying after seeing his work “this is either the work of an insane man or a genius”- we can see why! There isn’t a straight line in the whole place- it looks like something from a fairy tale.
Part of our brief while in Barcelona was to also produce some images of the city, in particular works of Gaudi’s. The images were going to be used in a magazine that was sent to their corporate clients within the travel industry.
